The 2022 season is HERE! A few changes this year, we formed our own Corp to separate away from PAC........we created bylaws and added 2 additional board members.......biggest all we added traveling softball to the Diamond Club....Welcome 12U & 14U FASTPITCH. Our website is fairly new so keep checking it for more updates. We are fielding travel Baseball teams at the following levels this season: 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U and 13U and 14U/15U Pony. Teams are registered for tournaments and will schedule some double-headers throughout the year. Travel players MUST play in the Pequot, Cross Lake or Nisswa community ed leagues softball or baseball (9U-12U) or Pony League baseball (13U-14U) to be eligible for a Diamond Club travel team. The Diamond Club manages the 13U and 14U /15U Pony teams in Pequot Lakes. This is similar to community ed/rec league baseball that kids played through 6th grade. The schedule will consist of two games and one practice per week. The 13U / 14U travel teams will play intact in the league.
Covid 19 Protocols will need to be followed……check our website for the current rules.
We are also excited to announce our first HOME baseball tournament......The weekend of June 25th, 2022
Players will also have to provide their own Helmet (Royal Blue or Red) along with Grey pants with red stripe, red belt and socks, cleats, bats and gloves. Jersey updates.....uniforms should be here next week.
If you have any questions please let us know and we look forward to a great baseball and Softball season!

2022 Going to State
The scholarship program was established to assist families with financial hardship. For players that are accepted into the program, league fees for the season in question will be paid partially or fully. Scholarships are neither permanent nor automatically renewed every year and will expire at the end of each season. Applicants must meet the scholarship eligibility requirements to be considered for the program. In financial hardship cases, a scholarship may be requested for each child in your family that wants to participate in the season. The scholarship committee will then determine if full or partial scholarships will be awarded. Every applicant will be evaluated on their own merit that has met the eligibility requirements. If your child currently pays for any type of travel/club team or is taking private sporting lessons of any sort they are not eligible for a scholarship. If a scholarship is granted and the league has reason to believe the player that received the scholarship is involved in any of the above, the scholarship will be immediately revoked and parent/ guardian will be expected to pay in full for the registration fees. Family members of officers, directors, major contributors and members of the scholarship committee are not eligible to apply for a scholarship.
Pequot Lakes Diamond Club will not deny any child a chance to play baseball/softball due to a financial hardship. Full or partial scholarships are available. We are committed to providing a program than allows every child to play baseball/softball. Our mission is to offer an affordable program for our players and families while maintaining the financial health and sustainability of our club.
A limited number of scholarships are available based on the leagues annual budget, community sponsorship received, and the overall number of registrars. Since scholarship funds are limited, applicants must meet certain financial criteria, as noted below, and certify that they qualify. Applicants may be asked to provide additional information to prove the player is eligible for a scholarship.
In addition, families applying for a scholarship acknowledge that the league is run by volunteers and there is an expectation that parents/guardians of scholarship recipients will give back to the Pequot Lakes Diamond Club by volunteering or in any way they can, as detailed below.
If your son or daughter receives a scholarship please provide help to the league in the following way:
• Volunteer for baseball/ softball (must have background check)
• Offer help with Tournament or Festivities
• Assist with Picture Day
• Aid with banner care (hanging and removal)
• Be available to work the concession stands
• Obtain a sponsorship for our league
IMPORTANT - if you fail to uphold your volunteer obligation you may be disqualified from receiving scholarship in the future.
